Morham | Transport & police

Transport

From 1947 the parish had a postal bus and on Tuesday and Saturday a service run by Mrs Fairbairn from Haddington and by Ian B Glass from 1958. The Sunday buses with Sunday papers ran to the early 1960s. Later, Eve’s Coaches, Dunbar, ran the bus service.

There were a number of rights of way through the parish, though not all were marked on maps. That to Haddington via Bearford, Northrig and the church was signposted in the 1980s.

Police

Until the 1970s, policing was provided from Garvald, the last policeman being Jimmy Foster. Thereafter, it was provided from Haddington.
