The East Lothian Antiquarians and Field Naturalists Society, a UK Charity, assumed the copyright and responsibility for el4.org.uk, when the Fourth Statistical Account Society ceased. ELAFNS is a membership body, which can be joined for a small annual fee.

We don’t process personally identifiable data, but hold some which was collated as part of the production of this volume, first published between 2003 and 2009.

Only admin users are registered on our website, so we only store personal information that they choose to provide in their user profile.

The site is a history site and therefore has personally identifiable testimonies of individuals as well as the names of authors who published articles, including all those that contributed in some way, either facilitating the publication, researching and editing, overseeing the work.
